Governance

How BUDS-UK is governed to the highest standards of UK charity law.

  • Constituted under a Deed of Trust in accordance with UK charity law
  • Governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees meeting at least 4 times per year
  • Annual accounts prepared and independently examined
  • Accounts filed annually with the Charity Commission for England and Wales
  • All trustees serve without remuneration, with zero salary costs
  • Procurement policy requires at least 3 quotes for expenditures over £500
  • No loans to trustees or connected parties
  • Full conflict of interest policy in place
